Address: Corner of North Beachwood Drive and Woodshire Drive - If you're doing the Beachwood Canyon Loop, you're already perfectly parked on Beachwood.
Description: Fourth set of stairs on the Beachwood Canyon Loop (from Secret Stairs LA); All hail the Queen -- she is lush, beautiful and has benches. Halle-freakin'-lujah!
How many steps? 148 (out of 861 for the whole walk)
This stairwalk is clearly the Queen of the Beachwood Canyon Loop -- you'll bow down to her simply because she is kind to her subjects and allows them ample places to rest and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. A historical monument (I know this because the plaque says so -- 1928!), there is a double set of stairs that is separated by a stone wall that once had an actual stream running through it. Nowadays there are some very pretty planter boxes and also benches (HALLELUJAH!) to rest on as you climb back up the stairs. That is very helpful because this walk is uber-steep, and I probably had 17 heart attacks along the way. Cheerful chirping birds reminded me that even Cinderella had to work it before she made it to the ball and to Prince Charming, so that gave me the strength I needed to keep going. (Note to Cinderella: No heels on this puppy!)
Once you get to the top, you'll turn left and follow Belden Drive until you come upon a walkway (right hand side of the road) that's just before 2917 Belden. It's marked by white posts and is nestled in between two houses.
