If you’re doing the Sumac Stairway, this is the perfect way to head back down. And like everything else in LA-LA Land, you must remember LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING! Setting out, you can almost be seduced by the pretty surroundings and the fact that you have gravity helping you out. ALMOST is the key word, because before too long you get the feeling it will never end! It’s a butt-kicker even going downhill! At least at the end you can finish panting to the soothing sounds of the Pacific Ocean… or is it the traffic on the PCH? Either way, this is a very authentic experience for any Angeleno!
